Introduction to the Course
When the idea of property was realized, people started raising their voices to get the protection from the state; similarly, when human being realized that there is a different kind of property that is intellectually owned, there was a sense of claim from their side to get it protected. These rights are known as intellectual property rights and the law relating to these rights is meant to protect them.
The basic objective of this certificate course is to engage various stakeholders in the practical aspects of Intellectual Property Rights. It also targets at the understanding of various intellectual property rights such as Copyright, Patent, and Trademark etc. along with the interplay of Taxation Law and Competition Law with IPR.
About the course
The Certificate Course in Intellectual Property Rights is a four months short program designed by the Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Patiala (RGNUL) and My Legal Studio. It is designed and created in consultation with Industry Experts including experienced litigators and corporate lawyers and accomplished legal academicians.
This course explains Intellectual Property Rights in details. It encompasses copyright, trademark, patent, GI, trade secrets, designs, the relation between intellectual property rights and competition law or due diligence, etc.
